As a member of the Payroll Operations Team, the Time Reporting Advisor (TRA) is responsible for providing Time Keeping Coding Memos for Employees on Medical Leave. The environment is a fast paced, challenging environment. The TRA manages requests from OHS Ability Advisors and coordinates with HR, Benefits, Managers, Time Keepers, Time & Labour & payroll personnel to ensure employees are coded accurately to ensure successful pay processing for these affected employees. The TRA communicates with these stake holders verbally and through memos and email. The TRA needs to maintain knowledge of time reporting codes, their application and follow through with information sent to Time Keepers. The successful candidate should be a critical and analytical thinker with a strong customer focus and have strong written and verbal skills.
Duties Include:
  • Receiving & Sending emails
  • Writing coding memos to Managers
  • Completing Requests for Leaves of Absence and Returns from Leaves
  • Running reports for Benefit providers
  • Communicating with several Stake holders verbally and in writing
  • Identify over / under payments
  • Investigate issues for employees on Medical LOA
  • Review and advise when sick bank balances deplete
  • Time & Labour analysis
  • Monitor Time Keeping Memos to ensure correct action taken
  • Assisting with WCB Reconciliations
  • Manage Client Inquires - Investigate and Resolve Tickets
  • e.Records Review
  • RightNow Ticket reviews
  • Quality Checks
  • Communicate with ESP & Remote Time Keepers to ensure accurate time entry for employees
  • Run Queries for pay validations and checks
  • Auditing HR entries for pay impacting issues
  • Understand Union Agreements and how they apply to Medical Leaves
  • Review HR Changes for future impacts to Medical Leaves
  • Miscellaneous pay related tasks

    Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a T2-1. Minimum $41,500.00 to maximum $58,000.00 annually.
  • Completion or enrollment in Canadian Payroll Association Program
  • Minimum 3 years previous payroll experience
  • Strong communication skills verbally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Previous PeopleSoft, SAP, or JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Previous experience in an unionized environment preferred
