Minimum: 20.84 per hour Maximum: 25.34 per hour
Responsible for the receipt of referrals, arrangement of appointments, and follow-up visits for patients referred to the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service.
Medical Office Assistant Certificate, Unit Clerk course, or Equivalent Training and Experience. 2 years recent hospital based experience in a role that coordinates clinic visits and scheduling of procedures or tests. Examples or work experience might be: Unit Clerk, Admitting, Ambulatory clinics. Previous experience in Cardiology is desirable. Clear and concise telephone and communication skills with pleasant manner. Organizational skills essential. Skills in time management and prioritization of work are essential. Typing skills mandatory. Basic computer experience is mandatory (Windows, Word). Alphabetical and numerical filing ability essential. Manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail. Must be able to function in a high volume, fast paced, multidisciplinary environment with changing priorities and frequent interruptions. Must be organized, flexible, self-directed, and accountable for own work. Time management and ability to prioritize work is essential to this self directed position.
