Hospital Pediatrician - Research Lead

The Department of Paediatrics, Section of Hospital Pediatrics invites applications for an Education Lead at the Clinical Assistant Professor level or higher within Alberta Health Services - Calgary Zone (AHS) and the University of Calgary (U of C). This position will be based at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and will be 50% clinical with 50% protected time for academic pursuits, with a primary focus on education and education research.

Qualifications include an MD and certification in Pediatrics by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent credentials). Eligibility for medical licensure in the Province of Alberta and the ability to work in Canada are also required. Clinical experience and a record of academic achievement in education is a significant asset.

The chosen candidate will join 30 members of the Section of Hospital Pediatrics and will lead and collaborate education research activities for the Section. This position will also be expected to lead an area of Educational Activity within the Section.
