The competitive candidate is an expert clinician with progressive ideas and energetic leadership qualities. This motivated self starter is responsible for assessing, developing, delivering, and evaluating education for nursing staff caring for acute medical patients. The specific focus of the role aligns with competency development, evidenced based practice, quality and safety improvement, and zone wide standards. This pivotal position requires an innovative, motivated and creative embracer of research and technology capable of collaborating with clinical, managerial, and education teams. The Clinical Nurse Educator acts as a resource expert and consultant to various areas locally, regionally, and at the PLC site. This position requires an individual with a vision for excellent care through the education and inspiration of individuals and groups in the areas of clinical and professional performance. The position will require the individual to have a strong focus on projects such as AIM, SIM training, and Patient and Family Centered Care. The position will require the individual to support the orientation and skill development of multiple new hires for the South Health Campus.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required.
  • Masters degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Extremely strong clinical expertise required.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent clinical experience in medical or equivalent field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience required.
  • Current BCLS-HCP certification, CVC certification, PCA certification required.
  • Current CARNA registration required.
  • Above average computer skills essential.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • WISE Sim training preferred.
