Minimum: 37.55 per hour Maximum: 50.37 per hour
The Instructor, Staff Development provides leadership in planning, co-ordination, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities for nursing staff. Educational coordination includes but is not limited to staff: orientation, compulsory education programs, clinical/professional development, and continuing education. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery of programs based on identified individual and department needs, along with practice/licensure requirements. The OR Instructor also participates in site/Regional Activities with site/Regional instructors and is also a member of the Regional OR instructor group.
  • Baccalaureate in Nursing required.
  • Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent health related degree preferred.
  • Registration with CARNA required.
  • Current CPR (level C) required.
  • Minimum Five (5) years current Operating Room experience required.
  • Teaching experience with adult learners an asset.
  • Proven interest to continued learning required.
  • Program development/evaluation experience an asset.
  • Canadian Nurses Association Certification an asset.
  • Professional membership/involvement an asset.
  • Must have proven excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills an asset ie: PICIS
