Minimum: 27.78 per hour Maximum: 34.80 per hour
Inventory Purchasing and Receiving experience within the last 2 years, as well as a proven track record in exemplary customer service. Knowledge of Central Production Operations as well as a background in Hospital order entry would be an asset.

This position is a Monday thru Friday position, hours of work are 7:30 - 3:45 with the possibility of the occasional evening/weekend shift.
Formal Education:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program.
  • Proof of registration as a Pharmacy Technician with Alberta College of Pharmacist required.
  • Proof of ACP Bridging in process.

    Experience:
  • Recent experience within hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience with computer medication order entry, IV admixture and unit dose drug distribution an asset.
  • Experience with Windows-based computer applications an asset.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Fluency in the English language (written and verbal).
  • Typing (40 words per minute desired).
  • Familiarity with operation of various office equipment, unit dose packaging equipment, pharmaceutical compounding equipment.
  • Familiarity with word processing and pharmacy computer software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills desired.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making ability desired.
  • Displays tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality.
  • Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, able to demonstrate effective service attitude, self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
