Minimum: 23.08 per hour Maximum: 28.07 per hour
Under limited supervision, this position provides secretarial and administrative support to the Unit Manager and Patient Care Manager for Patient Care Unit 37 and the Southern Alberta Transplant Program at Foothills Medical Centre. The incumbent will use initiative and judgement while providing direct organizational, administrative and scheduling support. Daily work activities will involve communication and collaboration within a team environment in order to achieve unit, program and AHS goals. The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities is essential.
Other role requirements are:Build and maintain positive work relationships with unit staff, members of the interdisciplinary team, and other departmentsFacilitates communication between management, unit staff, and other departmentsAttention to detailUnderstanding of payroll and staffing systemsSkills may include: web based applications and searches, involvement in planning, organizing meetings, preparing agendas and supplemental meeting information.
Graduate of administrative assistant course required, or equivalent 2-3 years of secretarial/support experience in a health care environment required Effective keyboarding skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required Demonstrated ability time management and organizational skills required Ability to exercise judgement, professionalism, and discretion when dealing with confidential information required
