The Supervisor performs a leadership role in the provision of Retail Food services at the site level and reports directly to the Manager, Retail Food Services. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership & organization of retail food service activities in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making site level and unit-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of Nutrition & Food Services (NFS).
The Supervisor, Retail Food Services will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
The Supervisor is also responsible for:
o Collaborating with the Manager for site and unit level implementation plans for initiatives and process improvement efficiencies.
o Ensures that the site complies with approved provincial standards and regulatory requirements.
o Consulting with the Manager, Retail Food Services for marketing, special events catering and design plans.
Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a M1-2. Minimum $ 56,250.00 to maximum $ 84,500.00 annually.
A minimum of a certificate or diploma in food services, hospitality or retail.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a multi-unit Food Service/Hospitality/Food Production supervisory role; ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare experience an asset).
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.
Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.
