Minimum: 20.85 per hour Maximum: 22.94 per hour
Position performs a variety of baking/cooking duties requiring independence and judgement. Emphasis is placed on quality baking/cooking performed in a clean and safe fashion. Our goal is to produce quality food products & service that meet our clients', staff and visitors' expectations.
Must possess recent cooking experience in an institutional or health care setting, where large quantities of food are prepared within specified time frames. Formal training in food preparation and knowledge of standard hospital diets is required. Demonstrated ability working in a team environment with minimal supervision. Preference will be given to those with a Journeyman Cook’s certificate.

Must possess ability to work independently and within a team-orientated environment. Efficient time management and organizational skills are required.

Must be a Certified Food Handler or be willing to gain certification within 60 days of commencing employment.

Must be physically able to perform assigned duties and work in an environment of heat, moisture, strong detergents and refrigerated/freezer areas; able to lift heavy stock items up to 25kg independently; ability to speak, write and follow oral and written instruction in English; neat and tidy in appearance and a high level of personal hygiene.
