Minimum: 31.63 per hour Maximum: 41.65 per hour
This position is responsible for providing and performing the highest quality service possible to the clients of the Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging. This is done in an effective, efficient and safe manner. As a member of the interdisciplinary team this position is responsible for working Days, Evenings, Weekends, and on-call, as assigned. Specifically this position collects specimens, performs analysis, performs X-ray examinations, ECG’s and reports results within the scope of practice of a Combined Laboratory & X-ray Technician.
Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Combined Lab/X-Ray Technician in the Province of Alberta and registered in both Laboratory and X-ray with the ACCLXT.

OR

Must be a Medical Laboratory Technologist registered or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (ACMLT). In addition must be a CLXT or have equivalent recognized training in radiography

OR

Must be a graduate of a recognized and accredited school of Medical Radiation Technology with two years of training, certified by and registered with the AAMRT. In addition must be a CLXT or have equivalent recognized training in Laboratory.

Available for on-call duties with travel time not to exceed 30 minutes.

Desired: Recent and relevant experience as a combined laboratory/x-ray technician in both laboratory and x-ray.

Assets:
  • Successful completion of the CLXT Mobile Radiography training course

  • Proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent public relations and a service- oriented manner are essential.
  • Proven analytic and problem solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Candidates must be well organized and flexible.
  • An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment record and references.
