This position is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the office of the Vice President, Community and Mental Health, Edmonton Zone within Alberta Health Services (AHS). This position reports to the Executive Associate in the office of the Vice President.
Duties: Maintains calendar, schedules meetings and prepares meeting packages Provides support in managing day to day clerical activities within the office of the Vice President, such as expense accounts. Maintains complete filing system. Provides ongoing tracking of documents and contracts. Books meeting rooms and equipment, sets up meeting rooms. Maintains and updates contact lists. Photocopies. Organizes and distributes incoming correspondence. Provides vacation coverage for other administrative support staff in the office of the Vice President. Participates in special projects as required.
Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a T2-1. Minimum $41,500.00 to maximum $58,000.00 annually.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of maturity and confidentiality in this role. A Grade 12 diploma is required, and a post secondary secretarial or administrative certification is preferred. Knowledge of computer applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Preferences will be given to candidates who have a minimum of two years relevant secretarial experience in a health care setting. Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills are required along with clear organizational and time management abilities. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced, changing environment with a strong commitment to customer service.
