The Advisor’s primary role is developing education programs for front-line Nutrition & Food Services (NFS) staff to ensure they work safely and within legislative and organizational standards. Additionally, he/she participates in planning conferences and training events for both front-line and professional/ managerial staff in NFS.

Under the direction of the Senior Advisor, Dedicated Corporate Learning-Nutrition and Food Services, he/she utilizes specialized knowledge and training in nutrition, food service, communications and/or adult education to:
  • assess the need for and develop orientation, compulsory education and other training programs and resources that meet the diverse training needs and education levels of NFS staff
  • utilize creativity and outstanding writing skills to develop written materials for NFS staff including bulletins, manuals, computer-based training and posters
  • evaluate learning outcomes
  • develop and implement standards and guidelines related to training and education
  • participate on committees to identify and implement activities that support the objectives of the business unit and NFS

    Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a P3-1. Minimum $65,250.00 to maximum $98,000.00 annually.
  • A minimum of a post-secondary degree (nutrition, food service, hospitality management, education and/or communications).
  • Specific adult education coursework such as the Certificate in Adult Continuing Education or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience within this area of expertise.
  • Creativity combined with excellent written and verbal skills at both professional and less formal levels.
