Minimum: 35.46 per hour Maximum: 47.17 per hour
The Assistant Head Nurse is responsible for leading, organizing, and directing the day to day operations of Referral Access Advice Placement Information Destination (RAAPID) to ensure that the service provided is effective, efficient, and of the highest standard. This position will also provide support in the area of technology management (computer and telephony) to aid the coordination of physician referrals and patients flowing into and out of Alberta Health Service acute care sites. This leadership role includes ensuring safe and quality patient care, mentoring of staff, problem solving, and facilitating the flow.

This position will share equally in any shift and weekend responsibilities that may be expected.

Currently located in downtown Edmonton at 10030 - 107Th street, Seventh Street Plaza, 2nd floor.
  • Current CARNA registration required.
  • Successful completion of an approved Nursing education program required; Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
  • BCLS-HCP required.
  • Three to Five years current clinical expertise in Emergency required.
  • Recent experience in the charge role in critical care required.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively required.
  • Computer and telephony skills are required.
