Minimum: 20.84 per hour Maximum: 25.34 per hour
Working under the general direction and guidance of the Imaging Records Manager and Area Supervisor, this position performs Imaging Library/Reception and a variety of clerical duties in the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The successful candidate may be required to cover some shifts at the UAH site.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent required.
  • Medical Terminology required.
  • Previous Diagnostic Imaging experience working with RIS, PACS preferred.
  • Recognized Medical office Assistance or Clerical course applicable to the position desired.
  • 1-2 years experience in a health care or medical office setting preferred.
  • Prior positive experience working with the public an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language - both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive and tactful at all times.
  • Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Netscape and Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Skilled at paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to work all shifts based on operational needs.
  • Equipment troubleshooting - printer, fax, computer.
  • Would like successful candidate to be able to take on-call on a rotational basis.
