Minimum: 23.08 per hour Maximum: 28.07 per hour
This position reports directly to the Manager of the Centralized Staffing Office. The Staffing Clerk provides staff scheduling support to the Patient Care Managers and hospital units. The Staffing Clerk deals with complex (often urgent) staff scheduling tasks utilizing ESP, with short timelines, in a busy, high pressure office situation. Staffing Clerks liaise with Unit Managers, Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Educators, full-time, part-time, casual staff to fill staffing needs due to vacation, LOA, illness etc. Strong interpersonal skills are an asset as this position requires clear professional communication with multiple disciplines.
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Post Secondary knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Previous staffing clerk experience is essential along with related office experience, preferably in a hospital/institutional setting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, e-People, VAX, and ESP is preferred. Previous experience in Cardiology, Medicine or Surgery is preferred.
