Reporting to and under the supervision of the Area Manager, the Clinical Supervisor provides professional leadership that includes planning, coordination and clinical supervision that supports best practice and clinical standards that are established by Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor will provide client care through assessment, treatment planning and evaluation in their applicable discipline. The Clinical Supervisor works in close collaboration with families, mental health clinic staff, physician, consulting psychiatrists, community program stakeholders including education partners and Child and Youth Services stakeholders, ensuring continuity of care for children and youth in the community setting.
The successful candidate will be a graduate of one of the following: Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters Degree in Psychology; Masters Degree in Social Work; Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing. Post graduate or advanced practice qualifications will be an asset. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Five to six years of recent experience in mental health, specifically child and adolescent is preferred. Knowledge and skill in assessment, crisis intervention treatment and brief solution focused therapy or equivalent. Experience working with Child And Family Services, Health Partnership Initiatives, multi-cultural groups is highly desirable. Strong abilities in working within a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrated contributions in emerging programs is essential. Current Registration with applicable licensing body (CAP, ACSW*, CARNA, CPRNA or ACOT).

Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of children/adolescents with mental health concerns/diagnoses is required. Preference will be given to those with knowledge of CAMH Services and past experience in providing clinical supervision. The successful candidate must have effective interpersonal and communication skills. An excellent attendance record must be demonstrated through previous employment and references.

*Must be authorized for ACSW to perform restricted activities - Psychosocial Interventions.
