The Imaging Applications Specialist is a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Informatics team, reporting tot he Diagnostic Imaging Equipment and Informatics Manager. The overall responsibility of the Imaging Application Specialist is the implementation, configuration, and problem resolution of PACS and Voice Recognition Systems. The incumbent will function in a supportive role to the management and staff in DI through understanding the business needs of the department and ensuring a successful translation of those needs into system solutions. The Imaging Application Specialist will also be a key member of DI/IMTS project initiatives, providing input into project design, build, testing, and implementation plans and solutions.

Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a P3-1. Minimum $65,250.00 to maximum $98,000.00 annually.
  • Diploma or equivalent formal qualifications in a Diagnostic Imaging discipline. PACS Administration Certificate or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Windows NT Workstation essential.
  • Experience in a Diagnostic Imaging health care environment essential.
  • Familiarity with Unix and or Oracle RDBMS an asset.
  • Previous experience with Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), an asset.

    • Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insurance
