Minimum: 37.55 per hour Maximum: 50.37 per hour
The Clinical Nurse Educator uses principles of adult learning and assesses, plans, implements and evaluates education and development needs of staff. The incumbent facilitates, coordinates and supports the implementation of educational initiatives for orientation, mandatory education, and in-service/continuing education. Other duties include promoting the clinical competence of staff through changes in policy, procedures, protocols, and technology.
Current registration with the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta and BCLS-HCP (instructor level) are required. Strong computer skills are necessary. Experience with in-service and program development, implementation and evaluation is required. Experience developing education materials for both staff and patients is preferred. Candidates must be highly motivated and self directed. Minimum 3 years Critical Care Experience required. Previous teaching experience preferred. PALS certification or instructor level are an asset.
