Minimum: 31.63 per hour Maximum: 41.65 per hour
  • Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals from commercial kit products.
  • Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals and/or cold kits from raw materials.
  • Perform QA/QC analysis of prepared radiopharmaceuticals and/or cold kits.
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceutical kit products.
  • Assist in the radiation and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Assist in the delivery of radiopharmaceuticals or cold kits to mulitple customers.
  • Assist in the development of new radiopharmaceutical techniques and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Record appropriate receipt, disposition, QA/QC, preparation, dispensing, radiation safety and regulatory records.
  • Assist in the use and maintenance of scientific equipment and instrumentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all medical information.
  • Protect ACB assets through conscientious handling.
  • Judicious use of materials.
  • Comply with all rules, regulations and policies of the Institute, the Edmonton Radiopharmaceutical Center and the Edmonton PET Centre.
  • B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or other related field would be an asset; Technology Diploma in Medical Laboratory, Nuclear Medicine, Radiopharmacy or related education would be an asset; prior experience in handling radioactivity or in radiopharmacy or related fields would be an asset; must have a valid Alberta driver's license. Transport of Dangerous Goods certification would be an asset; must be able to manipulate and carry moderately heavy lead and other radioactive shielding and shipping containers; must be able to work selected weekends and be on call for evening duty; computer and organizational skills would be a strong asset.
