The Pharmacist I is responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. This position involves the consultation and implementation of pharmaceutical care plans, and the provision of drug information and counseling services. The incumbent acts as a preceptor and mentor for Pharmacist students and residents completing their rotations.
Current licensing with Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) is required. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is an asset. Candidates with previous experience working in a hospital and working as part of a multidisciplinary health care team are preferred. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills and problem-solving skills are a requirement for this position. The successful candidate will be able to successfully demonstrate the ability to use evidence-based medicine in direct patient care. Computer literacy is required.
