Registered Dental Assistant assists the dentist in the clinic operatories. Responsibilities include: assisting the dentists with intra-oral and extra-oral duties; transporting patients to and from operatories; maintaining and ensuring proper sterilization of equipment, proper disinfection of operatories and ensuring barrier technique is maintained in the operatories. Position is in the University of Alberta Hospital Dental Clinic.
Graduate of an approved Dental Assisting program (Registered Dental Assistant) with certification in extended duties. New graduates are welcome to apply. Must have good organization and and interpersonal skills, be supportive of dentists, have positive attitudes toward change, be a team player, be capable of self direction and able to preform duties with indirect supervision. We treat many special needs patients their comfort and care is our focus. Some experience with Iv sedation and general anesthesia and asset. Current BCLS-HCP certificate required.
