Minimum: 34.31 per hour Maximum: 45.03 per hour
Under the direction of the Manager and working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, the Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will assist/provide quality patient care addressing physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs. Recent pediatric psychiatry experience within the last 2 - 3 years is required. Must have proven communication, behavioral management, and assessment skills. Must be capable of functioning as a therapist/co-therapist in small group sessions. Knowledgeable of treatments and medications used in children with psychiatric illness. You will also be responsible for other duties as assigned and as outlined in the job description.

NOTE: Unit has scheduled closure periods. Unit is closed in July & August, Spring Break, Easter and Christmas holidays, as per the Edmonton Public School Operational Calendar.
RN/RPN diploma required. BScN preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS-HCP) registration required. Current CARNA or CRPNA required. Pediatric psychiatry experience within the last 2 - 3 years is required. Must have proven communication, behavioral management and assessment skills, as well as strong organization and critical thinking skills. Must be capable of functioning as a therapist/co-therapist in small group sessions. Must be knowledgeable of treatments and medications used in children with psychiatric illness. Familiarity with other community resources serving children and families with mental health needs is an asset. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsible to provide proof of active registration with the College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta and to maintain registration throughout the duration of employment.
