Under the supervision of the Evaluation Lead, the Research and Evaluation Coordinator (REC) is responsible for the coordination and completion of various research/evaluation projects within Evaluation Services, DIMR. While the complexity and duration will vary, the REC will typically be expected to carry between 4-6 projects at any one time. This position is directly accountable for:

(1) execution of the evaluation framework and plan;
(2) analysis of data; and
(3) presentation of evaluation findings to project sponsors (often VP/SVP-level administrative leaders and/or medical directors) and other AHS stakeholders.

The results and outputs produced by the REC influences operational decision-making, strategic planning, program development, and practice improvement across clinical and other service sectors within AHS. Evaluation findings and recommendations are used to improve program and patient outcomes.

The REC also coordinates the activities of project assistants and student interns. In this capacity, and also through the application of accepted evaluation standards of practice on all project work, the REC plays a pivotal role in improving the capacity, quality and processes of the Evaluation Services team.

Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as P2-1. Minimum $55,000.00 to maximum $77,000.00 annually.
  • Bachelors-level education with a strong background in evaluation design, research methods and data analysis; e.g. social science, health science, or other related field.
  • Two years experience conducting research and/or program evaluation studies.
  • Previous experience in a health care environment is preferred.
  • Equivalencies of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Formal training in computer applications is required. Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access). Experience in Internet searches and SPSS Statistical Software is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and with various levels of staff.
