Minimum: 22.42 per hour Maximum: 28.09 per hour
The incumbent works as a member of the interdisciplinary team and provides services to clients living within Supportive Living. The main duties include the carrying out of rehabilitation programs and services as directed by the physical and occupational therapists of the program. The individual will also be required to provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of assigned tasks, and provide input into the ongoing development of rehabilitation services.
  • Must be a graduate of a minimum 16-month post-secondary rehabilitation therapy assistant training program
  • Current BCLS-HCP certification of at least Basic Rescuer Level is required.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are also required.
  • Associate membership with national association is encouraged.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the nature of physical and occupational therapy disciplines, the rehabilitation process and how it relates to client functioning in the community setting.
  • Understanding of short term, functional and goal directed rehabilitation in a community setting.
  • Well-developed problem solving skills to facilitate implementation of treatment activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

    • Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insurance
