Shifts per Cycle: 10 shifts

T3 - $51,000 annually - $71,500 annually
*Remote Retention Allowance: In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.


Reporting to the Manager, the Administrative Assistant provides support for the north zone medical affairs portfolio, to assist with the efficient and effective function of the medical affairs activities within North Zone. The incumbent communicates directly with Leaders/Managers, staff in the health care field, medical staff and public and provides direct support to the Associate Zone Medical Director(s), Facility Medical Director, and Manager(s) North Zone Medical Affairs.

The incumbent is required to provide a high standard of interpersonal communication and must demonstrate confidentiality, flexibility, and initiative while meeting the needs of other team members in a fast paced environment.

  • Formal training in Office and Business Administration including training in a variety of computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic main and task management, etc;
  • Significant progressively responsible administrative experience preferably in a health care setting, preferably with some knowledge of recruitment and international recruitment;
  • Experience in coordination, researching and compiling information on a variety of topics;

Ability to:

  • Function effectively within a fast paced, dynamic work environment, including flexibility to adjust priorities, handle emergent and quick response items; set priorities, and ensure completion of tasks;
  • Function independently in a self-initiating manner requiring flexibility, judgement and ability to work as a cooperative team member;
  • Remain calm under pressure, make sound judgments and meet established timeframes;
  • Typing speed of 80 wpm.
