$250.00 per month - Temporary Northern Living Allowance offered on a pro-rated basis, dependent on FTE.

The EMS Supervisor of Vehicles and Equipment for the Alberta Health Services North EMS Zone reports directly to the Manager of Fleet Maintenance. This position supports approximately 75 vehicles, 350 staff and 22 EMS facilities over a geographical area of approximately 275,000 sq km.

Maintenance includes scheduling and prioritizing vehicle maintenance through approximately 100 different service vendors throughout the North Zone while minimizing downtime of emergency response vehicles and crews. Equipment and supply coordination ensures that all vehicles are equipped to Alberta Health & Wellness Provincial Standards and that all medical equipment is tested, repaired and replaced as needed. The position is also the point contact for the 22 EMS facilities in the Zone for facilitation of repairs, maintenance, invoicing and assessments.

The role is essential in providing prompt quality Emergency Medical Services to the Alberta Health Services North Zone though a team of Station Coordinators, Vehicle Maintenance Coordinators, Equipment & Supply Coordinators & Operations Supervisors.

Candidate will have a minimum of eight years of EMS management and leadership experience. A strong operational background and knowledge of large scale EMS systems and their service delivery models provides the necessary foundation to manage and optimize service delivery.

An undergraduate degree, previous fleet management, logistics and/or vehicle mechanical experience would be an asset.
