Minimum: 34.31 per hour Maximum: 45.03 per hour
The Registered Psychiatric Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide crisis intervention, assessment, diagnostic and treatment services to adults with psychiatric disorders. Utilizing a variety of treatment modalities, you may undertake individual and group psychotherapy. Additional responsibilities will also include working in partnership with and providing consultation to community agencies, and physicians in the continuum of mental health care. Medication management is also an expectation for outreach clients.
Current registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta is required. BCLS-HCP is required. Successful completion an approved Nursing education program required. A working knowledge of the DSM IV TR, Mental Health Act, Mental Status Assessment and Psychotropic medications are required. Two years of recent adult psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.

  • Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insurance
