Minimum: 22.43 per hour Maximum: 27.16 per hour
As a Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant at Leduc Community Hospital and under the direct clinical supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist, this position provides rehabilitation interventions to Acute Care, Sub-Acute and Transition Unit clients. The duties include support, organization, client supervision, adequate clinical recording, clerical support; and maintaining a clean and safe environment in the therapy areas. You will be required to maintain supply inventories and perform other related duties as required within the operational framework of the Leduc Community Hospital.
Grade 12 Diploma is required. A Therapy Assistant Program certificate is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team environment is essential. Familiarity with computer software such as MS Word and Outlook is desired. Two to three years experience working with Acute Care patients with chronic diseases, Long Term Care residents and elderly in a rehabilitation capacity is desired. BCLS-HCP certification is required along with possession of a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work related travel.
