Minimum: 23.08 per hour Maximum: 28.07 per hour
The incumbent is responsible to provide clerical support to Jack Ady Cancer Centre: Providing clerical support to medical daycare including: Review and ensure charts are ready for upcoming clinics/treatments Use ARIA, Netcare and Meditech to obtain lab, pathology, diagnostic imaging, and OR reports Schedule appointments for chemo treatments, patient orientation and physician exams Process physician orders Enter workload measurement File reports and progress notes on patient charts Build templates for physician clinics and chemotherapy unit Work as part of the clinical care team
High School graduate Medical terminology preferred Successful completion unit clerk course Two to three years related experience in a health care setting preferred Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic setting preferred Previous Unit Clerk experience required Demonstrated excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Demonstrated knowledge and skills with Meditech, ARIA and Netcare Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment Excellent communication and organization skills Demonstrated excellent organizational and prioritizing skills Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
