The Contract Coordinator is responsible for initiating, leading and successfully concluding the competitive processes and contract negotiation processes utilized in the acquisition of Managed Services and Non-Clinical Services. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the delivery of services within Hospital and/or Non-Hospital settings. The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong group facilitation and project management skills, and should be familiar with procurement business processes. The position will be responsible for issuing Requests for Information, Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, and Requests for Expression of Interest documents to satisfy a variety of present and future Zone needs. The position will work collaboratively with Managed Services and Non-Clinical Services Department staff in documenting the scope and specific requirements, and ensuring that the proposed business solution is compliant with the policies, procedures and guidelines of AHS.

Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a P2-1. Minimum $55,000.00 to maximum 77,000.00 annually.
  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) in Business, Health-related discipline, supplemented by additional business training (examples being: contract law, procurement processes, project management).
  • Minimum of two years experience in: healthcare; other human service; or a large business environment.
  • Minimum of two years experience in: Project Management or Procurement Management; and work-group leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically, apply sound business judgment.
  • Demonstrated organizational ability, problem-solving skills, and business negotiation skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Current working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel is required; Microsoft Project, Visio and PowerPoint are assets).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with a customer focus, are required as you must be able to work with a large array of stakeholders, including: AHS management, administration, and clinical staff; external vendors and representatives, as well as government.
  • In this role there is an emphasis on the abilities to: prioritize, organize and research information; design and format complex documents, including: spreadsheets; reports; contracts; organize project schedules; and deal with detailed and complex data.
