Analysts for the Technical Team for the Millennium Information System Support Team are key positions in the Clinical Application Services team, helping to ensure the smooth functioning of the Millennium Information System and related applications through the effective use of resources and an understanding of change management principles and health informatics technologies. The successful candidate will actively participate in operational and tactical planning, support and development, for the customers of the Millennium system and related services for information consumers across the province.
Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Daily resolution of assignments, including incident, change, release and problem management Work with projects to ensure on time delivery of projects and smooth transition of project services to the operational support team Develops and maintains problem analysis and resolution techniques Participates in tactical planning to ensure capacity and service continuity
Salary/Benefits: Salary will commensurate with skills and abilities.
Undergraduate Degree, diploma or equivalent experience required in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Health Informatics or related field ITIL foundation certificate an asset.
Professional Experience Recommended 3 years Experience with Oracle and SQL – databases and programming Experience with Unix (HPUX) Experience with Windows XP, 7, Server 2003, and Server 2008 operating systems Experience with Citrix and other virtual technologies Understanding of SAN concepts and application thereof Knowledge of high availability architecture and technologies (HP Serviceguard clustering, Oracle RAC, etc.) Knowledge of business systems analysis and problem resolution
Added Attributes Excellent customer relations and support service Good presentation and technical writing skills Familiar with Health care Information systems
