Rural Clinical Reference Applications Services manages clinical IT applications on a province wide basis to enable sustainable quality health care programs and services.
The Systems Analyst III reports to the Manager Clinical Reference Applications and is a member of an application support team. The Systems Analyst III is responsible for the following outcomes: Working independently with minimal guidance to ensure reliable operations of province wide Clinical Information Systems (CIS) to assist with the achievement of clinical programs' operational processes and service activities. Resolving complex problems while working independently with minimal guidance by applying best practices and high level guidelines or policies. Taking a new perspective on existing information technology systems to find solutions to customer business needs. Leading projects with limited size, risk, complexity, potentially including responsibility for expenditure monitoring and cost control.
Salary/Benefits: salary will commensurate with skills and abilities.
Preference: a graduate from a recognized degree program in information technology, information sciences or related discipline. Minimum educational requirement is diploma in information technology, information sciences, or related discipline. Must have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in information technology. Experience in a health care environment preferred Minimum 3 years experience with computer software and databases is required. Previous experience in a functional leadership, deliverable coordinator, or project manager capacity an asset. Experience with PACS, Meditech or other clinical information systems is required. Certification in ITIL is preferred.
