Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Reporting to the Site Leader of Olds Hospital and Care Center and will be ultimately be accountable to the Area Director of the Mountain View and Clearwater Counties.

The Unit Manager position is a dynamic and exciting position that is responsible for the overall management of the Acute Care and Emergency within the hospital.

The successful incumbent will be accountable for this designated patient care area and is responsible for participating in strategic planning; identifying budget requirements (human, material and capital resources) to safely meet patient needs; managing of expenditures; following through with roll outs of initiatives put forth by the Director; establishing and maintaining standards of practice; hiring and managing performance of professional and support staff; creating and sustaining a healthy work environment including handling Occupational Health and Safety issues; maintaining collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders and facilitating the implementation of changes to structure and processes in order to accomplish improved outcomes in patient satisfaction, quality of care and cost containment.

Furthermore the successful candidate will be able to multitask, be collaborative within a multidisciplinary team, model the values of AHS, demonstrate excellent work ethics and boundaries and have the ability to see the big picture.

Salary/Benefits: This position is classified as a M2-2. Minimum $ 84,750.00 to maximum $ 127,250.00 annually.
  • Graduate of a recognized program of nursing with a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing. Masters level preparation is desired.
  • Current CARNA registration required.
  • 5 years experience with demonstrated clinical competence and knowledge of specialty area preferred.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Analytical, organizational, planning, teaching decision making, and financial management skills.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and change agent skills.
  • Ability to function in dynamic situations.

    • Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insurance
