Minimum: 21.13 per hour Maximum: 23.00 per hour
Under supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled building maintenance and grounds keeping duties in accordance with approved practices and procedures. Representative duties include maintaining and caring for lawns, flower beds, trees and shrubs; snow removal; performing minor structural repairs and equipment maintenance tasks; collection and disposal of garbage and cleaning of mechanical rooms and shop areas.
  • High School education supplemented by related technical courses preferred.
  • Some previous grounds keeping, related gardening experience or maintenance experience preferred (e.g. tractors, lawn mowers, rototillers, etc.).
  • Must be familiar with a variety of grounds-keeping and building maintenance tools and equipment used in the maintenance program.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Cooperative and willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively independently or in a group.
