Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Reporting to the Director, Learning & Leadership, the Administrative Assistant supports the Director by providing a full range of administrative services such as:
  • Maintain appointment calendar, schedule meetings with internal / external stakeholders, and make travel arrangements;
  • Prepare meeting packages and take minutes;
  • Assist with the preparation of documents, reports, presentations, etc.;
  • Order stationery supplies and monitor schedule of orders for multiple departments;
  • Process invoices, expense claims, financial transfers, and timesheets;
  • Maintain file management systems;
  • Assist with problem solving;
  • Receive and review mail;
  • Monitor emails for meeting information, follow-up items, etc.; and liaise with other executive offices;
  • Provide administrative / process guidance and direction to team members;
  • Liaise and provide leadership to portfolio administrative staff;
  • Connect and support department managers with day to day operations and new initiatives;
  • Responsibility for planning department meetings / events.

    Salary / Benefits: This position is classified as T2-1. Minimum $41,500.00 to maximum $58,000.00 annually.
  • Completion of two-year administrative / executive assistant diploma program
  • Minimum three years related administrative / office environment experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand, utilize, and communicate information in speech and written text
  • Exhibit sound judgement and initiative
  • Effective utilization of time management skills to maximize efficiency
  • Desire and ability to collaborate / work as part of a team
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to adhere to AHS policies, procedures, goals and objectives, and Code of Conduct
