Physiotherapist I perform professional duties in providing therapeutic services to Supportive Living clients through assessment, treatment and education. To supervise and guide the Therapy Assistant in the provision of treatment programs for all Supports Living clients on their caseload. The Therapist I ensures that his/her practice is evidence based, client centered and meets clinical standards of practice. To assist in the development, coordination and evaluation of Central Zone Allied Health services.  
Bachelors or Masters degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university and current license from the College of Physiotherapy of Alberta.

Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills. Proven ability to exercise professional judgment. Ability to work well both in a team environment as well as independently and maintain good interpersonal relationships internal and external to the department with clients and their families. Competent computer skills. Familiarity with home care processes is an asset. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Reporting to the Supportive Living Team Leader, the Physiotherapist works as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team. Representative responsibilities include assessment, direct treatment, education, consultation and enhancing optimal client function, health promotion, collaboration and cooperation with other providers and community partners to ensure a continuum of service, development of effective partnerships.

An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references.
