Minimum: 34.31 per hour Maximum: 45.03 per hour
Unit 22 is an acute inpatient Cardiology/Telemetry unit where a candidate with experience and skill can manage a population of complex unpredictable and unstable patients. The preferred candidate for this unit is one who has a strong interest in patients requiring cardiac and diabetes related nursing care and who can work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide family focused nursing care. This environment is suitable for candidates who have recent medical/surgical nursing experience, certification in a relevant specialty area, charge nurse experience and past leadership training. ACLS, Lead 2 certification and telemetry experiences are preferred. Graduate Nurses are welcomed to apply and these advanced certifications will be provided to successful candidates.
Current CARNA registration Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered Basic computer skills Current BCLS-HCP certification Good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development activities Ability to work shift work Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
