The Nursing Attendant provides patient care services as an unregulated worker under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Under the close supervision of the Program Manager or designate, the Nursing Attendant is responsible for assisting the patients with their activities of daily living to facilitate comfort, safety and general well being; and assisting in maintaining a clean, safe environment for patients through the application of universal precautions.
Grade 12 education or equivalent. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently. Must have graduated from a recognized Personal Care Aide program. Must have one year recent nursing experience with the geriatric population and chronically ill. Must possess current BCLS-HCP. The incumbent must possess good interpersonal and public relations skills.
