Registered Nurse - Acute/ER

Minimum: 34.31 per hour Maximum: 45.03 per hour
Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care in respective program. Following established policies and procedures within the service. Directs activities of other members of the nursing team and co-ordinates activities of the health care team. Demonstrate current nursing knowledge, efficiency, communication and leadership skills.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Current registration (in good standing) with CARNA required. Current Certification in BCLS-HCP required. Current Certification in IV Therapy, ACLS, and NRP preferred, TNCC an asset. Evidence of integrity, initiative and sound judgement. Demonstrated commitment to professional development. Ability to function effectively in a team environment. Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality. Demonstrated accountability for own practice. Rural experience an asset. Basic computer skills are an asset. Demonstrated broad knowledge base and well developed technical skills that will support the incumbent in floating to Emergency when needed. Acute care experience required.
Please note this position is located outside of the Calgary city limits (45 km east of Calgary).
