Minimum: 20.84 per hour Maximum: 25.34 per hour
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Health Information Management at the site, the incumbent provides front-line reception, registration and switchboard services. Retrieves, sorts and files documents. Registers all inpatients and outpatients. Responsible for receipts, deposits and petty cash.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Health Care experience and medical terminology desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Previous switchboard experience desired.
  • Previous experience with an Admission/Discharge/Transfer program desired, preferably Meditech.
  • Ability to work under very little supervision as well as work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to maintain poise under pressure, be able to prioritize and organize work in a fast paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting desired.
  • Requires data entry skills in a windows environment.
  • Must be able to provide clerk services in Health Records.
  • Must be physically able to perform duties involving standing, bending and stretching for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively using the English language.
