The primary responsibility of the Clerk III is performing clerical tasks and managing patient information to support patient care activities in the department with minimal supervision.
Grade 12 with post-graduate Office Administration Diploma. Equivalencies may be considered. Minimum of two years previous experience in a fast paced office environment, with knowledge of medical terminology; good interpersonal skills required. Excellent working knowledge of computers; must have advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook and Excel; proven ability to show good judgment, use initiative, demonstrate strong organizational skills and effectively participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work without close supervision, exceptional telephone skills and experience working with the public. Ability to establish priorities and develop plans in order to meet deadlines; ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment in a calm and efficient manner; able to adapt to stressful situations and use tact and diplomacy, able to maintain confidentiality of information.
