7.75 per shift, 4 shifts per 1 week shift cycle
Effective April 1, 2012 ** $39.99 - $54.06 as per Addendum # 9
Under the Supervision of the Community Health Services Manager, this position provides comprehensive Speech Language Pathology services including assessment and treatment for clients of all ages in a variety of caseload sectors in a multidisciplinary health service setting. This position maintains documentation, collaborates and communicates with members of the care team, supervises other staff and may work in varied geographical locations.
Formal Education:
  • Baccalaureate Degree or Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • Experience:
  • One year clinical experience in a rural setting desired
  • Previous supervisory experience and/or training in areas such as effective communication, conflict resolution and supervision/coaching, organization and time management is desired
  • Experience using Telehealth desired
  • Experience in computer applications is desired
  • License(s), Certificate(s), Professional Membership(s):
  • Current membership with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA) required
  • Membership with Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) desired
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Ability to foster partnerships and team relationships
  • Ability to show initiative and work independently
  • Demonstration of sound organizational skills
  • Physical Effort/Strength Required:
  • Frequent physical demands include standing, bending, lifting and hand movements

    • Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insurance
    • Driver's License Required
